Tanda Tula, Kruger National Park, South Africa

In celebration of the colours, flavours and tempo of modern-day Africa, Tanda Tula, meaning to love the quiet, is inspired by the people and wildlife-rich region of the Greater Kruger National Park.

Tanda Tula Plains Camp, our home for the next year, is a spacious and welcoming homestead complemented by light-filled interiors and views in all directions. The interiors have been filled with Tanda Tula pieces and the central area offers a beautiful lounge, dining area and library.

Together, tracking big game on foot in the Timbavati, highly trained trackers and guides reveal the tempos of the wild through their insight and skill. Field Camp is an exclusive use, off the grid camp nestled between the confluence of the Mopono and Nhlaralumi Rivers.

Elevated above vast plains and winding rivers, Nkarhi Homestead’s position allows guests an uninterrupted view of the sweeping vistas across the Timbavati. Off-grid with total exclusivity, time is extended here, and connections cherished.

Set in the same location, overlooking the Nlharalumi riverbed, we will welcome our guests to our more ecologically sensitive camp with a lighter footprint. Building is well underway and the new design embodies the essence of Tanda Tula Safari Camp which will continue to connect our guests to the African wilderness through canvas.
